Anthracite Coal
Anthracite coal is a highly carbonated fossil fuel that produces the most heat of any fossil fuel on the market, and its low sulphur content makes it a very cleanburning fuel. Bituminous coal is also known as "soft coal," while anthracite is known as "hard coal."

Other terms which refer to anthracite are black coal, hard coal, stone coal, dark coal, coffee coal, blind coal (in Scotland), Kilkenny coal (in Ireland), crow coal or craw coal, and black diamond.

Breeze Coke
Coal coke breeze is a common backfill material used in cathodic protection. It is a type 1 carbonaceous backfill material. Coal coke breeze backfill has low resistivity and low ash content and may be treated by the addition of 10% (by weight) commercial grade slaked lime. The fuel used in the iron ore sintering processes is coke breeze. Its combustion yields high enough amounts of heat which is delivered to the sinter mix.

Quartz
Quartzite is a natural stone that begins as sandstone, which under a natural process of heat and pressure is fused with sparkly quartz crystals to form quartzite. Quartzite is an eight on the Mohs Scale of Hardness (one being the softest and 10 the hardest). Quartzite is mostly a hard stone. A sealer is suggested for all quartzite surface areas. Quartz granules are used during the raw iron production as builder of slag in the blast furnace process and quartz is also used as protective coating in the steel gutters and in the blast furnace process.
